Spencer Traditional Sweet Pea$2.31'Gwendoline' is a heavily scented ‘Spencer’ type, with large, frilly pink blooms. Classed as a magenta by the NSPS, it is perhaps more of a bright pink presented on a white background. Either way it is a superb variety and is highly recommended for exhibition, the cutting garden and for fragrance.

Recently the Queen was delighted to receive presented with a new bouquet and to hear that hear her namesake has been grown continuously for more than 60 years.
If you grow just one annual, grow a sweet pea. If you want one with beautiful deep blue blooms of ruffled petals then grow 'Blue Velvet'. The Spencer varieties are perhaps the most popular, satisfying amateur gardeners and exhibitors alike with their large, scented and colourful flowers.
