Chinatown's produce stands offer many items that make only fleeting seasonal appearances, often so brief that many chefs scarcely have time to figure out how to cook them properly before they disappear for another year. One example is water spinach, a common vegetable in Asian cuisine.

Bred specifically to be grown in containers.'Tiny Tim' is a surprisingly tiny plant, growing to around 30 to 35cm tall. It can be grown as a potted plant any time of the year and doesn't need support. Perfect for wherever garden space is limited and outstanding for growing in containers. A very attractive plant that looks beautiful in hanging baskets or window boxes.

This French heritage variety is famous throughout Europe, Marmande is the favourite large-fruited tomato of Provence. A classic beefsteak variety, 'Super Marmande' is large, juicy, well flavoured fruit and a great improvement over an already excellent variety.

Tomato 'Minibel' is a compact variety that produces bite-sized cherry tomatoes with an irresistible, sweet flavour. This stocky determinate, or bush variety grows 35 to 45cm tall and is suitable for growing in pots or containers.

Tomato 'F1 Totem' has an upright habit that is perfectly suited for a patio container. However, this is no mere ornamental. This dwarf stocky bush variety is early and heavy yielding, with large trusses of crimson fruit. From one plant you will be able to harvest several kilos of tomatoes with a delectable flavour.

‘F1 Tomatoberry Garden’ is quite unique. Wide at the shoulder and tapering to a blunt point at the blossom end, these grape-sized tomatoes are notably heart-shaped. With low acidity and a high lycopene content, they resemble large strawberries both for sweetness and appearance.

Few tomatoes can rival the Brandywine for popularity, they are grown worldwide. With an exceptional rich, succulent flavour and creamy flesh, one picked fresh at the peak of ripeness, tastes so good that it may well set the standard for what a tomato should taste like.

Black Krim is one of the oldest and most popular heirloom varieties, largely responsible for fueling many growers obsessions with heirloom tomatoes. It yields large fruits that are blessed with an extremely rich, earthy true tomato flavour. The combination of the colour, shape and taste is simply gorgeous.

“Black Cherry” is a lovely jewel of a tomato, still fairly rare, they are the only truly black cherry tomato available. Perfectly round with the classic black tomato flavour, sweet yet rich and complex. Easy to grow and disease resistant. Eat them as you would strawberries!

Aromatic French Summer Thyme has more narrow, pointed leaves with a bit of a grey tint. The famed culinary thyme from France, it is higher in essential oil content than other varieties and reputedly the most flavoursome Thyme you can grow with a stronger and sweeter taste.

Thymus vulgaris 'Winter Thyme' is one of the savory herbs, which are main course herbs used to flavour hardy meals, bone warming soups, and piquant sauces. They blend their essence with other savory herbs like Tarragon and Savory to create some memorable flavours.

Texsel Greens is an unusual vegetable that provides an incredibly tender, smooth-textured salads and sauté greens, this fast growing variety has become a popular choice for use as a cut and come again salad crop. Also known as Garlic Kale, the small delicious leaves have an excellent flavour, a mild combination of spinach and cabbage.

These bite-sized delicacies can be eaten raw in salads, lightly steamed for tender whole cobs or sliced length ways and added to stir-fries. Minipop F1' is a sweet and tasty variety which is very easy from seed and does not require pollination to produce delicious mini cobs.

'Waltham' is an improved version of the common Butternut squash. First bred in the 1960's they are reliable, productive and a long-keeper. It has very little seed cavity, thicker & straighter necks, fruits earlier, and produces more flesh per fruit.
