Helichrysum bracteatum is the most well known and probably the best of all the everlasting flowers. One of the finest subjects for bouquets ‘King Size Silvery-White’ is the cut flower grower’s staple, producing substantial slky-white blooms that are especially valued for wedding work.

Helipterum ‘Pierrot White’, commonly known as Everlasting Daisy or Paper Daisy, is a stunning annual flower that is prized for its papery white petals. The crisp contrast between the petals and black and golden disk florets gives the flowers a striking appearance, making them a popular choice for both fresh and dried floral arrangements.
Pink Hyssop
Hyssopus officinalis ‘Alba’ is a much less well known variety of hyssop. Also known as ‘White Hyssop’ the plants sport bright white flowers from July to October. Widely used as a ‘taste enhancing’ herb or wildlife plant, the plants are a dark, vibrant green with a spiky, upright habit and narrow tongue-like leaves which have a peppery scent when stroked.

Bred by Roger Parsons, ‘Just Julia’ is a modern example of the classic Spencer Sweet Pea. Large, frilled blooms on long, strong stems and distinguished by its glowing pink petals with a lilac undertone. Highly recommended.

Introduced in 1981 in celebration of the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, Lathyrus ‘Royal Wedding’ produces wonderfully large, slightly ruffled flowers with four to five blooms to a stem. They are of course perfect for wedding work.
Ox-eye Daisy, Field Daisy, Marguerite, Wildflower of the British Isles
This native wildflower loves well-drained grassland with a neutral soil. It is quite at home in pastureland and meadows which are cut or moderately grazed. It can often colonize open ground if left to its natural devices and is particularly rampant in fertile soil.
Limonium latifolium, German or Perennial Statice
Coveted by every devotee of flower arranging, the perennial variety ‘Woodcreek’ is extremely useful and popular. Airy clouds of tiny white papery flowers hover all summer, on leafless fine stems that are perfect for picking.
Silver Dollars, Silver Pennies
Lunaria annua alba has pure white starry blooms which are almost fluorescent at sunset. Over a long season it produces masses of silvery pods. It is properly grown as a biennial, and makes large, well-branched plants in its second year. Very easy to grow it is also a vital nectar plant.
White Musk Mallow
Considered by many gardeners to be the most desirable of the Malva species, this rare white-flowered form is even lovelier than the normal rose-pink Musk Mallow. Flowering throughout the summer, the pure white, scented flowers contrast beautifully with the ferny foliage.
Column or Traditional Tall Stocks
Matthiola incana ‘Avalanche’ is a marvellous cut flower strain that reliably produces densely populated panicles on strong, single stems. Growing to a height of 75cm it produces a high percentage of double flowers that can be selected based on leaf colour. Sow anytime from January to July for flowering April to October.
Misogawo-so, Japanese Catmint
Recognised as having the largest flowers of all the nepetas and only one with white flowers, Nepeta subsessilis ‘Snow Panther’ flowers during the first year and can be grown as an annual or as a flowering perennial. This award winning variety is extremely attractive to bees and butterflies they are also excellent for containers.
Love in a Mist
‘Albion Black Pod’ is much less common than the usual Nigella varieties, It bears delicate romantic white flowers with intriguing little green stamens that are surrounded by ferny foliage. At the end of the season, the petals drop and the blossoms transform into dark plum fairy lanterns.

Nigella papillosa ‘African Bride’ is a most attractive variety. Deep rich purple stamens that highlight pure white blooms are followed by intriguing red seed pods. also known as White Love-in-a-Mist or Eclipse, this hardy annual is very easy to grow, rather special as a cut flower, and lovely in summer borders too.

Recently renamed Iberodes linifolia
Omphalodes is a delicate annual that wears its charm lightly. It forms an airy mound of fine, silver-grey foliage. Come late spring, it sends up slender stems topped with small, pure white flowers. They look like forget-me-nots dressed up in white linen.
Minoan Lace or French Meadow Parsley
Orlaya grandiflora ‘White Finch’ is a true flower show star. This outstanding plant displays stunning pure white flowers that form in large, flat-topped clusters which resemble lace-cap hydrangeas. The plants bloom for a remarkably long period and mix easily with others in the garden or bouquet.
When it comes to cut flowers, the poppy may be the ‘Internet darling’ of the moment. arranged in mason jars and in hand-tied bouquets, the poppy attracts the hip and stylish with their vintage, casual feel. The pure white colour form has been separated out and is now available to gardeners.

Uniform, with outstanding weather tolerance they will flower from mid July right through the summer until October. Phlox drummondii grandiflora ‘Isabellina’ is fast to flower and produces abundant clusters of creamy, linen-yellow flowers that are the colour of condensed milk. A must-have for wedding work, this delicious variety is a great addition to the garden border and bouquets.
White Alpine Pasqueflower or Alpine Anemone
Pulsatilla alpina subsp. alpina is a charming form, with white flowers, the outer segments flushed with bluish-purple. A favourite for collectors, they have a protracted flowering period and followed by attractive seed heads, they are showy, long-lived and reliable plants with a lengthy period of interest.
Sweet Scabious
A prodigious bloomer and a tough, hardy garden performer Scabiosa atropurpurea grows quickly and is fast to flower. ‘Tall Double White’ blooms with delicate, pure white blooms. With strong, straight stems, they are valued for the contribution they make in the garden as well as the vase.
Coral Carpet Sedum
Sedum album is one of the most popular forms of sedum, known for its dense foliage as it changes colour throughout the seasons. The leaves emerge a coral-salmon in spring, change to bright green in summer and then to reddish bronze with the arrival of cooler temperatures. In summer the plants explode in masses of tiny, white star-shaped flowers.
Valerian, Wildflower of Britain and Ireland
Valeriana officinalis is a graceful wildflower that is native to Europe and Western Asia. The tall, branched flower stalks are held atop a low mound of foliage, the densely clustered flowers are sweetly scented and usually white with a hint of pink.
