A favourite of garden designer Gertrude Jekyll. The ‘Pearl’ is excellent for the middle of a sunny, well-drained border, especially when planted as a large drift. A unique, easy and reliable plant to add to any border.
Queen Anne's Lace, (Syn Visnaga daucoides)
Ammi visnaga ‘Green Mist’ is a new variety of Queen Annes Lace, with larger, darker green and more mounded umbels than its cousin Ammi majus. It flowers from June to September the blooms are initially flattened and lime green, turning white. The textured flower heads are a flower arrangers dream.

The herb borage is a well known annual. Not so well known and not often written about is the equally beautiful form ‘alba’ which boast pure white, perfectly star-shaped flowers. Each flower is centred by five black stamens which heighten the drama. The flowers are edible, garden visitors can be converted to herbal advocates simply by offering a taste of its white flower.

Catananche caerulea ‘Amor White’ produces stunning blooms of white, star like flowers each with a dark purple-blue eye and unique papery petals. Intensely fragrant, with a delicious, sweet perfume, Dianthus barbatus ‘Alba’ is a pure white form of Sweet William. Absolutely beautiful and easy to grow, everybody can grow them to perfection.

Dianthus deltoides ‘Confetti White’ is a quite exceptional little plant. Growing to just 10cm tall it will spread up to 50cm wide. The pure white blooms appear in abundance, just poking their heads above the deep green foliage. In the early morning dew or after a shower of rain they sparkle like clear white diamonds.

Digitalis purpurea ‘Snow Thimble’ is bred for its large pure-white, bell-shaped blooms, born on short spikes only 100cm tall. It is one of the most elegant dwarf Foxgloves, easy to place in the garden it is especially suited to cottage gardens, shade gardens, wildflower and cutting gardens.

Helleborus niger is smaller and more compact than any of its relatives and is the first in bloom, producing a succession of delicate white flowers throughout winter. It is a welcome sight when the snow thaws to see something so pretty in bloom.
White Sweet Rocket, Dames Violet, Summer Lilac.
Gorgeously scented pure white flowers are held above rosettes of dark green leaves. Like all sweet rockets it is highly attractive to bees and other beneficial insects, the fragrant flowers perfume the air in late spring and early summer evenings. The night-scented stock is a close relative.
Perennial or Evergreen Candytuft
Iberis sempervirens is an early season favorite. This low bushy plant produces mounds of blinding white flowers in spring to early summer. An all round tough plant suitable for problem areas, use for containers, for pathways and crevices of ornamental walls.

Wildflower of Britain and Ireland
The Ox-eye Daisy is one of the most familiar of all summer flowers. They can be planted at almost any time of year. When seen naturalised in drifts in a sunny wildflower meadow, adorning roadside and meadows or even in a little corner of the garden they are spectacular.

Linaria ‘Canon J Went’ is a delightful plant with tall spikes of pink and mauve tiny flowers. Easy to grow and flowering prolifically in a sunny spot, the delicate plants provide a softening haze in perennial borders.
Gooseneck Loosestrife
Lysimachia ‘Lady Jane’ produces spires of white blossoms right above the foliage, they arch over then tip up at the ends and grow in beautiful curvy forms. Absolutely loved by butterflies, an additional feature is the good autumn foliage colour.

Nicotiana affinis, also known as N. alata, is a classic tobacco plant with a delicious evening scent. It has been justly popular for over a century and a firm favourite with generations of gardeners: it is far lovelier than the modern improved forms of Nicotiana alata.

Verbena hastata ‘White Spires’ is one of the choicest species available. It produces masses of pure white flowers on architectural flower heads. Its sheer volume of flowers make it a real winner. It is understandably increasing in popularity as it becomes more readily available.
Yarrow, Wildflower of Britain and Ireland
Achillea millefolium ‘Proa’ is an improved yarrow, a selected form that is higher yielding, with higher essential oil content, better flower production, and the flowers are more uniformly white. Preferred by those who use yarrow medicinally.

Alcea rosea ‘Chater’s White’ is a dramatic, upright plant, with a spike-like inflorescence that is covered with large buds that open, in a staggered manner, from June to September, from the bottom to the top.
