Parsnip ‘F1 Gladiator’ is the original ‘designer’ parsnip. Bred to be fast maturing, high yielding and resistant to canker, the roots have a shallow crown with smooth, tactile, white skin with a slightly sweet and fresh nutty flavour. Graded Seeds.

‘Hollow Crown’ is one of the oldest varieties of parsnip, with probably still the best flavour of all, with a depth and richness unmatched by most other varieties. It has been grown since at least the 1850’s and is still very popular among gardeners in the know.

Parsnip White Gem very popular with home gardeners. With shorter roots than some other varieties and fine, white smooth skin, it has considerable resistance to canker and is highly recommended for use on all soils. With a sweet nutty flavour, roast parsnips are a joy to eat.

Second early
Pea ‘Early Onward’ is a widely grown, long-standing favourite. A wrinkle-seeded variety with blunt well filled, dark green pods. It is short jointed with vigorous growth. Heavy cropping it yields of 6 to 8 peas per pod of sweet tasting fine flavoured peas.

Introduced by Oregon State University, this disease resistant variety is extremely hardy and one of the best choices for cooler climates. It gives high yields of four inch translucent flat green pods that hold their colour well. Crisp, tender and full of flavour.

Purple Top Rutabaga, Tumshie, Neep, Snadgies
