Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Cosimo’ is a series that have each been awarded one of the most prestigious horticultural awards, the Fleuroselect Award. Early flowering and uniform, the plants grow to a height of 50 to 60cm, short enough to be used at the front of the border, they can also be used in larger container planting.

Unique soft-yellow blooms are produced in profusion on compact dwarf plants. This unique variety of cosmos are early to flower with unusual blooms that have a magical iridescence. Magenta, rose and raspberry pinks are overlaid with an apricot- peach undertone. As each flower matures, the colour fades to a warm, antique rose. This variety works well in creating a gentle vintage look in the garden or vase.

Daucus carota 'Dara' is a large flowered chocolate coloured Queen Anne’s Lace. Delicate, lacy, flat-topped clusters in shades of old rose-pink, through burgundy to chocolate, and bloom for most of the summer from just one planting. They look great en masse and the plant pairs well with almost anything in the garden or in the vase.

Didiscus caerulea, known as the Blue Lace Flower for its unusual sky-blue flower colour. With delicate lacy umbel shaped flowers, each flower head is composed of tiny, star-shaped, sweetly fragrant flowers. Perfect for the cutting garden and suitable for country cottage style or contemporary arrangements.

Fullers Teasel a sub-species of the common teasel. The bristly flower heads were cultivated, matured and dried. Inserted into wooden frames, they were used to bulk up the pile on woolen cloth. The variant name 'fullonum' refers to the name of the trade of the 'fullers' to raise the nap on woolen cloth - to 'tease' it. Teasel is still used today by some who weave wool by hand.

Native to the central and south-eastern parts of the United States, Echinacea angustifolia is valued as a short-term stimulant to the immune system. This classic purple flower is easy to grow and continues to be a favorite in home and public gardens, a ‘tried and true’ classic sure to please any home gardener.

Echinacea pallida is one of the more rare members of the Echinacea family. They have much longer, ray flowers than those of the more familiar purple coneflower, the plants bloom earlier and continue to bloom sporadically through the autumn months.
