Eliminate overseeding with new Seed Spoons™

Seed planting is one of the most important steps to successful home gardening.

If too many seeds are planted in a pot it wastes not only seeds, but extra time in thinning them out and can cause damping off of seedlings

Planting one seed at a time in starting pots eliminates the need to do thinning and helps to prevent root disruption that may cause young seedlings to die.

With small seeds, it has been a fairly tedious task . . . until now.

This set of two spoons gives you four different size scoops to plant practically any size seed. Each spoon has two different size scoops, one at each end that allow you to plant only one seed at a time in the garden or in a starting pot.

There are four end sizes of .030 .050 .075 and .100 inch to hold almost any size small seed.

How to use seed spoons:

  • Plunge the spoon tip into a pile of seed (from the seed packet or seeds placed in a container or your palm).
  • When the spoon is removed, only one seed will be sitting in the small cup
  • If more than one seed is there, use a smaller cup. The set of two spoons has four different cup sizes.
  • Hold the spoon over the planting pot or garden area and turn spoon over to drop the seeds right where you want them.

These nifty little gadgets are made of bright yellow polypropylene for visibility and controlled flexibility. They are an ideal tool for amateur and experienced gardeners, senior gardeners, young children, and for anyone with poor eyesight or limited dexterity.

They are packed in a good quality envelope and come complete with a sheet containing information and pictures of how to use them.
They would make a perfect gift for a gardening friend.

As growers ourselves, we don't start our sowing and gardening season without these spoons! We dare not think of the amount of seeds we have wasted in the past by tapping on seed packets. We cringe when we remember all the wasted hours thinning and of all those wonderful little seedlings thrown away in the process.
These seed spoons now make sowing seeds a breeze!
