Compared to the traditional candytuft, this beefy species offers a decadent flower display. In mid spring, the whole plant disappears under an abundance of flat, light violet to pinkish white blossoms, creating a lasting mound of colour. `Cameo Elegance` is a truly elegant variety. This attractive Japanese morning glory has attractive twining stems of marbled foliage which are perfectly complemented by rose-crimson blooms. Many will have white star or picotee patterns which make an excellent contrast with the distinctive, ivy-like foliage.

The buds are long and tightly furled, but as the morning sunshine reaches them, they steadily unfold themselves into wide sky-blue trumpet-shaped flowers of deep azure-blue, the colour of a Mediterranean sky.Rich, red to magenta, large, exotic trumpet flowers with emerald green heart-shaped leaves. An absolutely reliable plant, with a profusion of large flowers 15cm in diameter, 'Scarlet O'Hara' will tolerate heat and is a splendid climber for covering trellis-work or for container planting.
