They have a beautiful firm straw coloured skin, pure white flesh and a good flavour. As a standard maincrop it offers excellent quality, high yields and a very good storage life.
Overwintering Onion ‘Senshyu Yellow Globe’ is a hardy and reliable maincrop onion. Introduced from Japan for harvesting before the traditional spring sown bulbing varieties are ready. It produces heavy yields of semi-globe shaped bulbs with straw coloured skins. It matures June to July from an August sowing.
